Welcome To "Blue" York - Where Dems Do & Say What They Want And Republicans Let 'Em

Imagine if a Republican official anywhere in America said something like "if you're  pro-choice, pro-gun control and pro-gay marriage, then you have no place in my state."

Imagine if another Republican official anywhere in America said something like ""Let's not get crazy about this diversity idea," when jokingly responding to the possibility of hiring Democrats. 

There would be a media blitz, right?  Imagine if it happened in the same state - even more so, right? 

But if a NY Democrat would say the same thing... insert crickets chirping.

Welcome to the newer, blue-er New York.  Where a Democrat can say just about anything and not be held accountable -- and Republicans let them.

Earlier this year, Mayor Bill Di Blasio quipped the "diversity" quote word-for-word when asked if he would extend any offers in his administration to a Republican.  

And just recently, Gov. Andrew Cuomo had this to say this past week about conservatives:

The Republican Party candidates are running against the SAFE Act — it was voted for by moderate Republicans who run the Senate! Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are? Because if that’s who they are and they’re the extreme conservatives, they have no place in the state of New York, because that’s not who New Yorkers are.

You would think every Republican leader would be jumping up and down in defense of their views and values.

So where are they?  I leave it up to you to answer that.
