Has Brooklyn's Anti-Obama Graffiti Writer Gone Too Far?
So today during work, I get a call from my family about - of all things - how more Anti-Obama / Anti-Dem graffiti keeps popping up all over our Sheepshead Bay neighborhood.
You may have seen my prior posts here and here about the new kind of vandalism popping up around the area train station.
Well, whoever is doing it is getting bolder. Check it out.

Amnesty International: Bunch of Leftist Cowards
Amnesty International joins fellow travelers Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Eric Holder in Ferguson, Missouri to "protest" (incite race riots).
Meanwhile, an American journalist was beheaded by Islamic animals on video. The savages in dirty black pajamas say they beheaded James Wright Foley because President Obama ordered airstrikes against the Muslim pigs attempting genocide in Iraq and calling themselves ISIS/ISIL.
UFT Head Backs Rev. Al, You Won't Believe Members' Reactions!
The United Federation of Teachers, lead by Michael Mulgrew, has decided to go against the NYPD by sponsoring and joining forces with Al Sharpton's anti-police rally to be scheduled for this Saturday August 23 in Staten Island. And UFT members are voicing their outrage on social media.

Lobbyists - Everything You Never Wanted to Know or Didn’t Want to Ask, But I’m Going to Tell You Anyway
Lobbyist.
There are few words in
American society that can arouse such universal revulsion among people of all
walks of life as the word lobbyist can. Countless polls, including a December 2013
Gallup poll, show that Americans consider the lobbying industry to be the most
dishonest and unethical field in the
country. This is an unfortunate perception, as most lobbyists consider
themselves fierce defenders of the public interest. While the Jack Abramoffs of
the world have left the public with an understandable distaste for the
profession, what most Americans do not realize is that corruption is the
exception to lobbying, rather than the rule. Currently, there is significant discussion about President Obama's hiring of former lobbyists in the
Executive Office, an act that I do not necessarily view as a bad thing. As
someone who has worked in the private sector, political campaigns, U.S.
Congress, and, currently, as a registered lobbyist, I have viewed the industry
from most every angle, and would like to clear up some common misconceptions.

New York: Capital Of Corruption

To say that New York politicians are ethically challenged is not exactly going out on any limb. I mean, we are the proud home of the likes of Anthony Weiner. Pols brazenly take money, and even try to rig mayoral nominations. We even had a former politician who was arrested and convicted for soliciting dirty money from an undercover agent in order to pay for his attorneys fee from his last corruption charge. No, I did not make that up, his name is William Boyland. Look it up.

Past politicians always talked big about cleaning up the Albany cesspool, but nor much resulted. Even Eliot Spitzer promised to be a "F---in' Steamroller" on ethically challenged pols, before becoming known as Client No. 9.
But still, hope springs eternal. So when Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) created a Commission to Investigate Public Corruption under the state's Moreland Act to "probe systemic corruption and the appearance of such corruption in state government, political campaigns and elections in New York State", good government advocates and everyday citizens heralded the news. Maybe, just maybe, this was the turning of the wretched tide.

Twisted Views
Editor's Note: Mona writes this in response to the National Review “Its Time for Conservatives to Stop Defending Police”)
A.J. Delgado describes the police as a “large group of government employees with generous salaries and unions strongest in the country.” Source, please? Doesn’t she know that the starting salary for NYPD officer is $38,000? Yeah, that’s generous salary if you live in the Midwest. And, do "strong" unions not receive any raises in the past 20 years?
She continues her article by saying that “conservatives being the stalwart defenders of police forces.. and its time for conservatives’ unconditional love affair with the police to end.”
Why?
Anti-Obama, Anti-Dem Graffiti Popping Up in Sheepshead Bay
![]() |
| Outside the Sheepshead Bay station |
Lately, I've noticed something around the Sheepshead Bay Road area of southern Brooklyn. In different spots, a vandal, with an anti-Democratic streak, has been leaving his/her mark on poles, walls and doors. Never did I think that i would live to see the day that there would be anti-Democrat political graffiti in Brooklyn, NY!

End the Filibuster: Restore Democracy
(Editor's Note: here is the first of what we hope will be many posts from Matthew Fairley, Esq., vice-chair of the Brooklyn GOP's Law Committee and contributor to Brooklyn GOP Radio!)
If one reads the Constitution, the process by which the President appoints ambassadors, cabinet members, judges and other federal officers seems quite simple. Art. II, Sec. 2 of the constitution states:
If one reads the Constitution, the process by which the President appoints ambassadors, cabinet members, judges and other federal officers seems quite simple. Art. II, Sec. 2 of the constitution states:
[The
President] shall nominate, and by and with the advice and consent of the
Senate, shall appoint ambassadors, other public ministers and consuls, judges
of the Supreme Court, and all other officers of the United States, whose
appointments are not herein otherwise provided for, and which shall be
established by law
On its face it
implies a two-step procedure. The president makes a nomination, and then
the Senate votes to approve or deny that nomination. Unfortunately, in
recent years that has not been the case, with Senate minorities of both parties
filibustering presidential appointments to score political points. A Brookings Institute study shows that
filibusters have increased from 17 in 1980 to 74 at the close of the most
recent Congress, spiking as high as 105 in the Congressional session ending in
2008.[1] Though Republican minorities in the three
most recent Congresses have set records, Democratic minorities increased
filibusters each year they were in the minority.
Though some would say the filibuster is an important procedural safeguard against presidential appointment of poor candidates, in reality it is dangerous, undemocratic and cowardly.

To The Left, To The Left

The failed legislation they have pushed last year are this year's accomplishments, and it shows that the next upcoming 3 years will be nothing but a leftist agenda gone crazy.

This week, good buddy (and award-stealer) Wayne Dupree, the Sensei of #TeamNinja and founder / creator of We Are America Radio (@WAARadio) was among those who joined FreedomWorks' Deneen Borelli at a conference held across from NAACP Convention in Las Vegas.
Borelli took matters into her own hands after being snubbed by the NAACP for the second year in a row. Borelli, sought to address the organization for their annual meeting, but was “ignored.” So, she along with Wayne and other prominent black conservatives like Katrina Pierson, Lesli Brower, Brenda Flank, and the Rev. C.L. Bryant, held their own event in the same hotel, at the same time, as the NAACP convention.
Wayne will join Brooklyn GOP Radio for a first-hand account of what transpired when the two conventions came face-to-face. Plus, the usual hijinks fromt he crew and... Buffoon of the Week!

Hobby Lobby May Get The Headlines, But This SCOTUS Decision May Be Bigger
While the newspapers and political blogs are there are all about the Hobby Lobby decision that upholds the religious views of closely-held corporations in the face of the Obamacare contraception mandate (and in all honesty, doesn't deprive any woman of contraception), there is another decision that the Supreme Court rendered today that has just as much - if not more significance.

R.I.P. - Bloomberg's Sugary Drink Ban
Ah, remember the good ol' days of the Bloomberg administration, when the sugary drink ban was enacted because Bloomberg was acting in the interests of the health of city residents (read: interests of the Board of Health). A ban that lead to mocking by politicians, political commentators, and comedians on the national stage. A ban that arbitrarily applied to certain establishments and not others, like the Big Gulp at 7-11 which was exempted vs. 2-liter bottles of soda in Supermarkets which would be illegal to purchase. A ban that applied to certain drinks and not others that seemed to make no sense at all, like refills, milkshakes and alcoholic beverages all being exempt.
Well, finally, after a trial court stopped the law from going into effect and an appeals court agreeing with that decision, New York's highest cost dealt the final blow by striking down the ban once and for all.
