America Needs Some "R & R" |
This past Saturday, Mitt Romney made the official announcement and introduction of his running mate, Congressman Paul Ryan from Wisconsin.
This surprise choice is a brilliant and significant choice. It will re-energize Republicans from all parts of the spectrum and country. It will force President Obama to stop avoiding addressing his failed record on the economy. It will restore Conservative values and policies to the White House come January. And as an added bonus, it will make for the most entertaining Vice Presidential debate most of us will witness during our lifetimes.
Here are some of the highlights from Paul Ryan’s speech in front of the U.S.S. Wisconsin in Virginia from Saturday’s announcement:
I hear some people say that this is just "the new normal." High unemployment, declining incomes and crushing debt is not a new normal. It's the result of misguided policies. And next January, our economy will begin a comeback with the Romney Plan for a Stronger Middle Class that will lead to more jobs and more take home pay for working Americans. We Americans look at one another's success with pride, not resentment, because we know, as more Americans work hard, take risks, and succeed, more people will prosper, our communities will benefit, and individual lives will be improved and uplifted. But America is more than just a place… We promise equal opportunity, not equal outcomes. This idea is founded on the principles of liberty, freedom, free enterprise, self-determination and government by consent of the governed. What kind of country do we want to have? What kind of people do we want to be?We can turn this thing around. Real solutions can be delivered. But, it will take leadership. And the courage to tell you the truth.
The rallying call went out this Saturday - Let’s send a message to Washington, to Albany, to all levels of government, that we will not let failed Democratic & Liberal policies continue to stifle this nation’s growth and potential!
Let our voices be heard this coming November!
I agree totally. Congressman Ryan was the perfect choice. He is a rock-solid conservative that will rile up the base this November.
ReplyDeleteFrom Albany to Washington- On to November!
