Ladies and gentlemen, we have a candidate! His name is Bob Turner.Brooklyn Chairman Craig Eaton said: “Bob Turner is the best candidate to win this race due to his experience as a businessman and leader in the community. He will be a great representative in Congress to fight for the middle class and the struggling small business owners who are the backbone of our country.”
State Conservative Party Chair Mike Long said in an earlier statement: “Bob Turner has the business sense that has been missing in Congress, he understands how to turn a profit, he won’t be intimidated by those who are unwilling to cut the waste, pet projects or defund unnecessary programs. He is the right person at the right time to reflect the values of the 9th CD”
The Brooklyn GOP has been for Turner's latest try for Congress since the day Weiner resigned in disgrace, as Chairman Craig Eaton appeared on several different television programs with the retired businessman. Turner did well in Brooklyn against Weiner, garnering 48% of the vote.
