The Brooklyn Young Republicans have had a huge impact on the local political landscape working with the Brooklyn GOP and our elected officials to build and strengthen the Republican party in Brooklyn - and this past weekend at the NY State Young Republican Convention in Albany, they were honored as Young Republican Club of the Year!
“What a year 2011 was!” said Russell Gallo, Brooklyn Young Republicans’ President. “In less than a year, we’ve not only revived our organization, we made history by working with the Kings County GOP to elect Congressman Bob Turner and we’ve established a corps of volunteers ready to go for 2012. And in 2012, we've gotten off to a great start with another shocking upset in future State Senator David Storobin!”
“The resurgence of a functioning Young Republicans organization played a significant role in the County’s recent success,” said Craig Eaton, Chairman of the Kings County Republican Committee. “Their energy has revitalized and reinforced what we wanted to accomplish this year and has built momentum for what we all want to accomplish in 2012 – the election of a Republican President, the re-election of State Senator Marty Golden, Congressman Bob Turner, Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis and Congressman Michael Grimm and the continued growth of the Republican Party in Brooklyn.”
In addition to Bob Turner’s big victory, several young Republicans have earned individual recognition and have earned key roles in Republican leadership in the county and in New York State:
• Effective January of 2012, Gene Berardelli will serve as Law Chairman for the Brooklyn GOP. Among his many tasks, he will advise Chairman Eaton on all legal matters (including the current pending legal matters surrounding the 27th Senate Special Election), coordinate candidate petitioning and assist candidates in navigating the legal pitfalls of running for office.
• Mike Tracey, an active Young Republican and a lieutenant in the NY Army National Guard, joined Congressman Bob Turner’s District Office as a legislative staff member after volunteering full-time for his campaign.
• Congressman Bob Turner appointed Russell Gallo and Gene Berardelli to his Service Academy Candidate Selection Committee. Recently, they met with and interviewed young people seeking appointment ro the United States Military Academy (USMA) in West Point, New York, the United States Naval Academy (USNA) in Annapolis, Maryland, the United States Air Force Academy (USAFA) in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) in Kings Point, New York.
• Russell Gallo, a Sergeant First Class in the NY Army National Guard, was selected to lead those assembled at Congressman Turner’s ceremonial swearing-in ceremony in the Pledge of Allegiance.
• Diana Sepulveda was elected Vice-Chair of the New York State Young Republicans.
“All in all, 2011 was a good year to be a Young Republican in Brooklyn,” said Gallo. “And 2012 is setting up to be bigger. We’re ready for additional wins in Brooklyn from the top of the ticket down. Game on!”
Chairman Eaton said "I am proud of this great organization, and it is a breath of fresh air to work with young professionals who not only work hard to help the County organization but also provide new ideas and approaches to the challenges that we face on a daily basis."

ReplyDeleteHello Young Republicans
ReplyDeleteGreat job guys.
You guys are the best.
You all are living in a Special Time In God's thoughts.
How do you beat Evil and Hate.
By going after the roots from within.
You all will make this happen for God knows who is Love/Good and who is Hate/Evil
Do understand if your good is being used for evil, you will go to hell and you really do not want to go their do YOU
Choose your sides very carefully.
God may pay you back in 5 years, 20 years, etc.
Remember these words evil thoughts lose in the end for God knows everything.

ReplyDeleteBatman or I should say Lt. Gallo, a real American, a person that has pride in his country and the Flag away serving his country.
Thanks Russ for I know hardly anyone tells you this.
Atlas Shrugs, think guys if everyone worked as one, what a beautiful place this would be my friends.
I say friends for in my heart we are all Americans with different opinions and views.
If anyone of you need blood and I could give it. I would be there in a heartbeat.
I joke about the President, Mitt, Paul, Newt, etc.
In my heart I love them all and if I was to meet them I would greet them as I do any one and that is with love and compassion.
I love Obama and in my heart again, I know he tries hard to do what he believes is right for all the people.
Atlas Shrugs, do I have anything against J. Judge, McCall and the rest of them who voice their opinions and views.
Not really for I do love them to, even if they hate me.
GOD tells you to forgive all.
I do listen to GOD and I do forgive all.
Politics is a dirty game my friends.
So be it!
America is under attack and the enemy is within us and will fight a war of hate and try to divide all.
We cannot let this happen, it is time for us to get serious for the threat is real.
Both parties must come together and fight this evil that is trying to destroy our country and way of life, just like we did in 1941 we must unite.
I was at the World Trade Center and saw and felt it all, I cried for many years and I still cry for those that lost their lives and their relatives and loved ones.
I hate to predict for most of what I say comes true or close to what I say.
On Jan 3rd posting, I said Wrong Rick. (I still feel Rick Perry will be President)
On Jan 4th posting, I said Rick S. almost out of money.
On Jan 21st Rick S. Leads in two areas which in GOD's eye are very strong points and they are abortion and character.
Shall I tell you what I see in the future?
No. I can’t do this, why would I want to?
I am just a messenger in away, some will understand, some won’t.
I do know that GOD loves all and whatever happens in future tomorrows, understand this my friends, all GOD has to say is BE and it will BE.
Bye for now my friends out for a smoke and maybe coffee
PS: Russ and Craig and Grimm This Flag thing is a big Issue, lets do the right thing by America and show the People what The Republican Party is all about.
