Herman Cain’s is building a grassroots army that will assemble on April 16 in Washington DC. Their mission: to bring Cain’s “Solutions Revolution” to Congress and turn his famed 9-9-9 plan into the law of the land as part of the larger call to “return power in Washington DC back to the people.”

Awesome Band We Met At CPAC
We met these guys after hearing them play at several events during CPAC.
Madison Rising is from Brooklyn and lean to the Right! We'll be sure to have them on a show sometime soon.
I recently got this message from them:
Madison Rising is playing a concert on March 9th at Sullivan Hall NYC. Attached is a flyer for the show, I hope you can make it out that night. We would appreciate your help in spreading the word and the flyer around amongst your people. Its going to be a great show, we are playing the entire album that night. Also it will be a great event to network at and meet other like minded people all while spreading the message of the American Dream.

VIDEO: Brooklyn GOP Radio Meets "Occupy D.C." at CPAC!
When Russell and I heard that "Occupy D.C." were protesting CPAC, we grabbed our camera and went out in the snow to check it out! And what did we find? A lot of what you've come to expect - inane chants, hate speech, rudderless, leaderless nonsense. We also caught some of a discussion led by some guy trying to talk a little common sense (who looked like he was peddling some wares). Then, we had a few laughs at the end with some reputed "racists" - don't worry, you'll be in on the joke by the end of the video! Check it out!

Brooklyn GOP Radio Meets With Herman Cain!
(A tip of the ol' cap to our new friends Angel Fleming and Shane Hayes of Fleming-Hayes.com, who got their video up before I could!)
It's not everyday that you get an invite from a former Presidential candidate to attend a very select meeting - but that's what me and my crew got when FourTier Strategies invited us to meet Herman Cain while we were at CPAC. We thought we'd be in a room with hundreds of people clamoring to speak to Mr. Cain -but it turns out that we were escorted into a very small, very private room where about 20 people involved in "new media" - bloggers, internet radio, etc. - gathered.
And in strode Herman Cain.

Best of CPAC 2012 Interviews!
We knew when we went to CPAC that we'd get some good interviews, but we never knew it would be this huge! Check out the player above for the top interviews from CPAC 2012, including the full interviews of Ambassador John Bolton and Congressman Allen West!
Post-CPAC Wrap-Up Week!
All I can say is WOW.
Russell and I had an amazing week at CPAC in Washington DC - and judging by the numbers, so did a lot of our listeners! In a matter of days, Brooklyn GOP Radio cracked BlogTalkRadio's top 10 most popular political shows - out of over 1300 shows!
So many new listeners found the show, thanks to so many great live guests, including 5 U.S. Congressmen, including Congressman Allen West, NRA President David Keene and - a huge surprise for us - former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton! We'll replay some of our highlights on this week's show.
A great deal of thanks goes to "Conservative Black Chick" Crystal Wright, who was with us just about every step of the way!
In addition, we'll unveil some bonus coverage for followers of our blog, including a video interview with Brooklyn's own Congressman Bob Turner and our encounters with "Occupy DC" at CPAC! The interactions were... interesting.
But here's the BIGGEST news: Brooklyn GOP Radio was invited to an EXCLUSIVE press conference with HERMAN CAIN!
Awww, shucky ducky!
Don't believe me? Here's a photo I took to prove it! We'll play some of the presser on our show, which was about Herman Cain's new endeavors coming in 2012, and then we'll upload over 25 minutes of video you won't find many places!

Congressman Steve King Headlines Latest CPAC Guest Announcements!
CPAC is starting to surpass even my own expectations! Brooklyn GOP Radio is proud to announce FOUR new guests that have agreed to sit down with us while we're in Washington D.C. at CPAC. So, without any further ado...
Congressman Steve King (R-IA):
Steve King grew up in a law enforcement family in Storm Lake, Iowa. King was elected to Congress in 2002 to represent Iowa's fifth congressional district. He brings the concerns and ideas from people of the fifth district with him to work on the Agriculture Committee. He has long been dedicated to adding value as close to the corn stalk and bean stubble as possible, as many times as possible. The Fifth District ranks first in the nation for hogs and pigs and is one of the most productive areas in the nation for renewable fuels. King's very first bill in Congress was an expansion of a tax credit to small ethanol and biodiesel producers. His language was included in the Energy Users Act of 2005, which President George W. Bush signed into law.
As 97% of Iowa's businesses are small business, King received a special waiver to serve on the House Small Business Committee so he could work to restrict government regulations that impede the growth of business and jobs.King is also a member of the House Judiciary Committee, where he sits on the Constitution Subcommittee and the Immigration Subcommittee. He believes the Constitution means what it says and that it should be read in light of the intent of our founding fathers. King is never caught without a copy of the Constitution in his coat pocket. King also chairs the Conservative Opportunity Society, a powerful and legendary House caucus that is best known for energizing Republicans to regain the majority of the House of Representatives in 1994.
Fox News Radio's Todd Starnes: Host of FOX News & Commentary, Todd will join us to tell us about his new book "Dispatches From Bitter America". In his book, Starnes references how President Obama once declared that people who cling to their guns are bitter Americans. So Starnes, who describes himself as a “gun-toting, chicken-eating, son of a Baptist,” decided to travel across the country to determine if what the president said was true. His book is filled with hilarious satire and biting commentary on the culture war.

CPAC brings together many groups that advocate for different policy initiatives. Russell and I agreed that we wanted to bring awareness to many of these groups whose missions we agree. Here are the first of two of what I'm sure will become many:
Marc Levin, Sr. Policy Advisor - Right to Crime: Marc is the director of the Center for Effective Justice at the Texas Public Policy Foundation and senior policy director of Right on Crime, a conservative criminal justice reform group that advocates for policies that will save money, lower incarceration costs, but most importantly, decrease crime. Levin is an Austin, TX attorney and an accomplished author on legal and public policy issues. Levin has served as a law clerk to Judge Will Garwood on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and Staff Attorney at the Texas Supreme Court. In 1999, he graduated with honors from the University of Texas with a B.A. in Plan II Honors and Government. In 2002, Levin received his J.D. with honors from the University of Texas School of Law. Levin’s articles on law and public policy have been featured in national and international media outlets that regularly turn to him for conservative analysis of states’ criminal justice challenges.
Bob Vandervoort, Executive Director - ProEnglish: ProEnglish is the nation's leading advocate of official English. The organization works through the courts and in the court of public opinion to defend English's historic role as America's common unifying language, and to persuade lawmakers to adopt English as the official language at all levels of government. As Executive Director,Bob Vandervoort manages the ongoing projects of ProEnglish and its publicity. He has a wide variety of campaign and legislative experience at both the federal and state level and has worked on Capitol Hill and at the Maryland State Legislature in Annapolis. He has a law degree from DePaul University and a BA in history and international relations from Boston University.
Both Marc and Bob are participants of different policy discussions during CPAC 2012.
What an amazing lineup - TWO Congressmen, talk personalities, policy advocates... and it's going to keep getting better! Keep checking back for more great announcements from Brooklyn GOP Radio about our CPAC coverage!

Canyon of Faux Heroes
SGT Joseph Bhenke, KIA 12/24/2004, Iraq
-a hero and friend-
What has become of this country?
On Tuesday many New Yorkers who are proud Americans and loyal Giants fans will line the cold parade route in downtown NYC to watch their “heroes” march by. These “heroes” are the one percent- multimillionaires who are paid handsomely to play a game.
Among these fans will be the unemployed, union workers, business executives, and politicians. Most will fawn over their “heroes” that managed to win a ballgame on Sunday that many of us played when we were children.
Well there is another group of New Yorkers that I consider to be Giants and the true heroes of this city and country. Who are they? Most people may know one or two but few of our fellow citizens have done what they have done. As of today there are no current NFL players that warrant the title that I bestow on this select class of citizen.
The American Soldier, Marine, Sailor, and Airman has fought and died to free over 31 million Iraqis. The war which they have won was fought for almost 9 years. By war’s end 4,484 of our bravest laid down their lives so that freedom may live.
Today in America far too many young people (age 60 and under) have no clue of what a hero is. They follow sports and American Idol, Tweet and Facebook all day, and complain, complain, complain.
The Obama administration and the Democratic Party foster this behavior because an uninformed electorate is needed to put radical leftists into office. While 8.4% of our fellow citizens are unemployed, millions of others watch Madonna acting like a damn fool during halftime.
Barack “Nero” Obama fiddles while Rome burns and the masses are content with occupying their time with bread and circuses.
Needless to say, I will not be attending the parade to worship the faux heroes known as the NY (NJ actually) Giants. I call on Mayor Bloomberg to reconsider his position on holding a parade in the “Canyon of Heroes” for our returning Iraq veterans.
If you agree, pass this on. Feel free to comment below.

Interviews with YRNF Leadership Confirmed for CPAC!
This one is for all our friends in the Brooklyn Young Republicans and the New York State young Republicans! We're happy to announce that we've scheduled interviews with two prominent young Republican leaderships at CPAC - our friends Brian Griffiths of Maryland, who serves as Northeast Regional Chair of YRNF, and Lisa Stickan, YRNF National Chair!
Since its creation, the YRNF has established itself as the premier Republican grassroots organization in the nation, providing essential grassroots support for Republican candidates and conservative issues on the local, state and national levels. The YRNF has a solid record of producing future Republican Party leaders - including Governors, Senators, Congressmen, nationally recognized campaign consultants, and community leaders. Through recruiting, training and mobilizing people, the YRNF presents an opportunity for ordinary people to do extraordinary things.
This is a great opportunity for our younger audience (not you, Vinny!) to get to know more about what they can do at a local, state and national level to shape the world around them and to grow the Republican Party. You'll hear about the Young Republican Leadership Conference coming up as Lisa and Brian's opinion on the 2012 political landscape.
Lisa and Brian join NRA President David Keene, Congressman Allen West and Crystal Wright of Conservative Black Chick in a HUGE lineup of guests - that's still growing! Keep checking back to Brooklyn GOP Radio for even more guest announcements!

Interview w/ David Keene, President of NRA, Confirmed!
And the guests just keep on comin'!
Today, we're so happy to announce that David Keene, President of the National Rifle Association has agreed to an interview with Brooklyn GOP Radio!
David is the former Chair of the American Conservative Union and is the man who took CPAC from a few hundred people to over ten thousand participants. He has been called "one of the country’s most astute political observers," and "was counted as one of the few men with both the ear of Republican presidents and an ability to influence the grassroots." With a reputation like that, you can see why I'm so excited to talk to him!

I had the pleasure of meeting David and his lovely wife Donna, who is a liaison for TheTeaParty.net, at last year's CPAC (and is someone who is definitely on my personal interview wish-list.) I was shocked how approachable they both were! Meeting them was one of the many highlights for me from last year.
David Keene joins our special Guest Co-Host, Crystal Wright, and Congressman Allen West (R-FL) as confirmed guests! Keep coming back to check on Brooklyn GOP Radio's CPAC Coverage - you never know who else will agree to come on our show!

Congressman Allen West - LIVE! on Friday's Show From CPAC
Going into CPAC 2012, Russell and I came up with a "Dream" list of people we would want to interview while down in Washington D.C. We both agreed on Congressman Allen West of Florida.
Well next Firday at 12 PM, "Dream" becomes reality. We're proud to announce to our loyal listeners that we will be joined LIVE! by Congressman Allen West for what is without a doubt the biggest interview for Brooklyn GOP Radio - bar none.
We'll be announcing more guests throughout the weekend and next week as we get ready for CPAC!

ConservativeBlackChick.com's Crystal Wright To Co-Host Our Live CPAC Shows!
Announcements like this is why I love to do what I do.I'm so happy to announce that our good friend, political commentator and blogger Crystal Wright will be joining the show as a special co-host for our LIVE! CPAC shows scheduled for next Thursday and Friday at 12 PM.
For those of you who don't know, Crystal is the editor and publisher of Conservative Black Chick, a fantastic conservative blog borne out of her frustration from "people telling me because I’m a black woman I couldn’t be a Republican and should be a Democrat because of the mere color of my skin." Check out her latest blog posting HERE,
Crystal is also an in-demand political expert who has appeared on several programs on CNN, BET and TVOne and has written pieces published in The Daily Caller and Townhall.com. She is also the principal owner of the Baker Wright Group, LLC , a full service public relations firm, specializing in communications counseling, media relations, message development, media training and crisis communications.
We first talked to Crystal in October - one of our most-listened to shows ever! Everyone loved Crystal - especially our resident elder statesman Vinny Bocchino, who constantly reminded me to tell Crystal that he said "Hi!" when I see her in D.C.!
Having a bona-fide expert like Crystal as a special co-host for our two CPAC shows is beyond anything I could’ve ever expected! Not only does she have her finger on the pulse of conservative politics, I know she'll bring a fresh perspective (not to mention a much-needed women's touch to our usual boy's club / frat house atmosphere) to our CPAC coverage.
Plus on a personal level, she totally kicks ass! I can’t wait to work with her!
Keep checking back for more big announcements as we get ready for CPAC!
